The Shell Busey Referral Network was designed to assist homeowners in finding qualified contractors and suppliers for their home improvement projects. Each Referral Network Member is pre-screened by the HouseSmart team to ensure that their products and services meet Shell Busey's high standards.

Credit Union Insurance Services Association (CUISA)


A non-profit society of insurance brokers in the Province of British Columbia who are owned or partly owned, controlled by, or affiliated with any credit union. They encourage a high standard of ethics in the insurance business and related services, and discourage all unfair and unethical practices.

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is an association of property and asset managers who have met the strict criteria in the areas of education, experience and ethics. Their mission is to educate real estate managers, certify their competence and professionalism, serve as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry, and enhance its members' professional competence so they can better identify and meet the needs of those who use their service.

British Columbia Building Envelope Council (BCBEC)


A non-profit organization dedicated to providing a platform for proponents of the building industry to discuss issues and exchange information on building envelope issues.

National Home Warranty


National Home Warranty has been serving the needs of western Canadian homebuyers and builders since 1990. Currently, National has more than 4,000 registered builders on the program and will provide new home warranty coverage for an estimated 27,000 homes and condominium units in western Canada in 2009.

Homeowner Protection Office


The HPO is responsible for:

  • licensing residential builders and building envelope renovators province-wide
  • administering owner builder authorizations
  • monitoring the performance of the third-party home warranty insurance system underwritten by the private sector, and
  • carrying out research and education which benefits the residential construction industry and consumers.



World Floor Covering Association (WFCA)


The World Floor Covering Association is committed to providing its retailer members and industry partners leadership and resources that will raise the level of professionalism, increase industry profitability and enhance consumer satisfaction.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)


As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.

To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians.

The Langley Food Bank


Objectives of the Langley Food Bank:

  • To provide a minimum of 2 day's worth of nutritious food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) for  clients and their families each week.
  • To develop relational bridges with clients in order to discover other needs they may have.
  • To find a way to meet these needs whether they are physical, social, or spiritual in nature.
